Fisher number reading: after choosing the right range, the manometer level increase or decrease, when it becomes still, adjust rack and pinion control and make the manometer lever pointer pointing the water level, now the size pointer show is the fisher number of the tested powders. As per below drawing the fisher number is 6um.

Please note that if using range II, the fisher number is two times of the value shown by the pointer.
