How to measure particle size of powder by air permeability method fisher sub sieve sizer? 201-16
Air permeability method is a nondestructive testing method for particle size of powder. This method is simple and has good repeatability and accuracy. How does this fisher method work? First of all, the steady air is pumped out by a steady pressure pump. After pressure regulation by pressure regulator tube, dry by drying tube. The dry gas passes through the compacted sample area, then creates a pressure drop. If the powder has a large gap, the pressure drop is small. If the powder has a small gap, the pressure drop is large. The other end is equipped with a U-shaped pressure manometer. The water level varies with the pressure drop. With a reading board, the particle size value of powder can be read directly on the chart.
The Fisher Model 95 Sub-Sizer is designed for quick and reproducible measurements of average particle diameters in the 0.2 to 50-micron range. Each measurement is read directly from a curve on the calculator chart located at the top half of the instrument.
